I think I have … I think I have social phobia.
I have had some good advice on it.
Naturally if you’re doing something for the first time, you will be afraid. However, it will go away with experience, meaning when you do it the 100 times, you wont be afraid!
you can’t control it, so learn to deal with it. the best advice i think is: if you have Social phobia, no body knows it! only if you tell them, so push yourself and gradually you will overcome it.
p.s. DON”T drink! try to face it with your baseball bat!
Sometimes I have … Sometimes I have social phobia too, You have to know how to handle it and be assertive. My biggest therapy is making music. My music explains it all…
If you suffer from … If you suffer from panic attacks or anxiety you should check out the website at panic-attack(dot) powerful-solution (dot)com . It will help you get rid of them for good, no joke. I personally used it and I’m a completely new person.
btw, I’m not trying to spam, I just want to help as many people as possible because I know how horrible panic attacks and anxiety are.
i only have 1 good … i only have 1 good friend left and i have to drink to even hang out with him becuaes i feel pothic i dont have a girlfriend and people always have to ask if u have a girlfriend. I havent had a girlfriend since highschool. i havent been doing nothing with my life since my g.e.d and im just sitting in my room with misery, i have to drink before i go in public, cant get job, scared of interviews becuase i dont no what to say about myself… sucks, my life right now is straight in the drain.. o well
hes cool with my … hes cool with my brother, just that pressure for that one sec made me get this disorder, i new he saw in my face something was up, like i was scared… i had to drink before class to get threw, thank god it didnt get where its at now or else i wouldnt have my G.E.D to this day… its been over a year, i lost my friends over betrayal, gangs and dumb stuff in the street.
ive always been shy … ive always been shy but no way close to this disorder untill…. i got kicked out for a fight i lost. I went to continuation school, had to drop out and then I went to g.e.d school at 18 at thats where it all started for me… one day i was doing a test and guy said ” ay are you miguels brother ” and my face turned red, i felt that fear of fighting and losing! my face turned red and eyes almost teared… he didnt even want to fight though,
Smiling is actually … Smiling is actually good. Some people use smiling as a mask to cover up their true emotions. They might be angry or embarassed, and they smile.Maybe this is the case with you.
Yup. My teacher was … Yup. My teacher was talking to me about failing a class cuz i didnt turn in any homework, and he went off towards “you can do well if you apply yourself” bla bla. He was like 100% serious and i was just smiling. Then one time he was helping me wokr out a math problem, as he’s talking, i have a huge smile on my face. he said pretty bluntly “stop smiling and fix your errors” made me feel like :l
sorry ran out of … sorry ran out of space. I feel like an absolute (sorry for the swearing but its just how i feel) afterwards and go bright red and just hang my head in shame. That’s the worst thing about it and it really hurts me just because i can’t stop smiling. Even in school when i was late and my principle was asking why and i just smiled the whole way through and this got me in trouble. A simple situation that turned bad because of it… So ironic that smiling causes me so much pain…
I have the EXACT … I have the EXACT same problem. I really think i might have SAD just trying to self diagnose myself before i get help but i was really wondering that if smiling uncontrollably was a part of it but never heard of it in the symptoms. Do you constantly get it and even smile if someone is being really serious with you and they kind of look at you pretty much saying “why the are you smiling?” yet even though so hard you try you just smile?
Is an … Is an uncontrollable smile a symptom of SAD? No matter who it is who talks to me, I have a HUGE smile on my face and can’t make it stop. If anything, smiling uncontrollably when talking to people makes it even worse.
if you’re avoiding … if you’re avoiding your best friend, who obviously likes you and does not think you’re boring but rather enjoys your company which is why they’re your friend in the first place, then i think you may be more than just shy.
Hey, I was thinking … Hey, I was thinking about this too. I tend to think that it doesn’t necessarily has to be the same thing. If you keep on avoiding some situations because f.ex. being shy, you are getting so used to it that you do this every time. But social phobia is more about the biological = physical issues – like extreme nervousness, loss of breath and so one. What do you think?
Among many things. … Among many things. What I hate most about myself is that if I’m with anyone, be it a stranger or my best friend for say walking down a street, I don’t want to appear as boring and lack social skills (i.e silences) so I try my hardest to keep the conversation going…and when I can I go “Gotta go this way now” and walk down some street I’ve never been down before and find my own way home. I try my best to avoid interaction cause I think I’m boring. I’m not sure if that’s shyness or social phobia.
